A rare matched pair of early 20th-century Antique French Limoges oyster plates, each featuring six sculptural scalloped wells, hand-applied gilt detailing, and subtle kiln-fired tonal variation that reflects the artistry of antique porcelain craftsmanship.
This pair exhibits subtle kiln-fired tonal variation, with one plate showing warm blush undertones and the other a soft celadon-green hue, an authentic hallmark of French porcelain production and evidence of individual firing within the same mold and pattern.
Originally designed for formal oyster service, these plates are equally striking as decorative accents, ideal for display on stands, styling a bar cart, or elevating charcuterie and citrus service.
Celadon-green hue plate has chip on bottom rim which is shown in the pictures. No other damage observed and plates are absolutely fabulous!
WHY WE LOVE IT! The sculptural form and subtle tonal variation make this pair both refined and visually compelling, perfect for collectors who appreciate authentic French craftsmanship.
