This is a beautiful transferware wide rimmed bowl. It is the attractive Aurora pattern created by Francis Morley & Co., Staffordshire, England, circa 1845 to 1858. The pattern consists of beautiful blue transfer scrolls, leaves and flowers highlighted in shades of gray and white. The manufacturer’s name is impressed on the back. This is a somewhat difficult pattern to find.
Good Estate Condition.
The bowl measures approximately 10 1/4” in diameter and 1 3/4” deep.
There is some discoloration on the back as well as minor discoloration and crazing on the front. The normal imperfections for pottery of this age. It has been priced for condition.
