Most close visual matches for the table place it alongside civil war era camp tables, as does the offset leg and strap folding mechanism, but this item has no paperwork so that cannot be verified by the seller. It is solid wood with details such as decorative cutouts on the skirt and table top edge trimming that may have been added later. The folding mechanism is a metal bar that bends to fit over a pins set into the table top framing. It has a beautiful patina and is extremely sturdy for the type and age of the table. See less
