This 18k yellow gold multi gemstone brooch from 1810 is an exquisite display full of symbolism. The brooch was meant to spell 'REGARD' in a refined procession of ruby, emerald, garnet, amethyst, ruby, and diamond that are all set in richly sculpted gold. However, during the Georgian period, there was no way to test the difference between spinel and ruby. Though the two stones are spinel, rather than ruby, the intention of the time period was to spell 'REGARD'. The brooch reads like a private message written with color, sparkle, and light that celebrates esteem and intention. The fine details are what make this brooch stand amongst the best. It is more than an accessory, it is a statement of discernment and depth for those who value jewelry with intellect and history.
This brooch comes with an independent, third-party, gemological appraisal. This brooch is a appraised for $4,200.
