The vintage brass lamps feature an ornate square base with claw or lion's paw feet.
They have an adjustable metal shade that can be raised or lowered along a rod to control the light. A green plaque on the base identifies them as "Paris Orient Express Istanbul".
The design is a replica of the gas lamps used on the luxury train that ran from 1883 to 1977.
Of the pair, one of them has more tarnished spots and a couple of small dents but it still has all of the vintage charm. Both have blown glass globes which accounts for slight variants. I have them shown with 40 watt soft white LED bulbs.
The second has a white coating underneath the shade so it does reflect lighter when lit. I'm assuming it was added on the later repros.
These would look good in a library or office or in any "moody" room. If you need a little extra lighting in a vintage kitchen, these would be quite at home.

One lamp is in excellent condition, a few tiny pits on shade. the other one does have some tarnish and pits but is clean and polished. Both work perfectly. Electrical cords are in excellent condition. Slight differences in the color of the brass.
