Antique Early 20th-C. Oak Tilting Rolling Banker’s Office Desk Chair. This is an early carved oak office chair by the renowned manufacturer Gunlocke Chair Company. This model is known as the “Bank of England” or Banker’s chair. Sometimes it was called a jury chair. This company was particularly known for it’s contoured seats and rolling and tilting features. The chair does have the green Gunlocke label. This company is known for having served eight presidents. It does show some wear.
This beautiful antique bankers chair was found at an estate sale in Beverly Hills. Such incredible craftsmanship and woodwork, this is not just a chair. It’s an art piece.
