Beautiful oil on canvas painting depicting a view of a classic Dutch heath with a large oak tree on the right, a thatched cottage on the left, and an irrigation stream in the center. The painting dates back to the late 19th century, as is clearly evident from the type of canvas and the stretcher on the back of the painting. The wonderful patina covering the painting also confirms our dating. Signed by the artist in black at the bottom right, it appears to be "Kolditz." Unfortunately, we have not found any additional references; it is likely by a German artist. The artistic quality of the painting is truly excellent. Notice how the heath grass appears almost in motion, blown by the wind, against a cloudy sky, as is typical in Holland for most of the year. The painting is of good size and is enriched by a beautiful golden frame. This piece has an attribution mark,
