Antique plaster statue depicting a female bust from the French Art Nouveau and Italian Liberty periods, signed A. Traggiai (Primavera). The period covered is the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Plaster figures were widely produced during the Art Nouveau period in France or the Liberty period in Italy, many of which were also produced in bronze. The latter are highly sought-after and very expensive.
