A finely decorated Athenian Ware miniature vase produced by George Jones & Sons, England, in the early 20th century.
The vase is executed in a rich terracotta-brown ground and features classical Greek-style female figures rendered in slip decoration, inspired by ancient Attic pottery. The shoulder is further embellished with scrolling and abstract motifs, creating a cohesive neoclassical design.
A charming and collectible example of English art pottery, combining historicist design with high-quality factory production. Its miniature scale makes it ideal for display in a cabinet, alongside other classical or Arts & Crafts ceramics.
