This unique Czechoslovak poster dates from 1969 and was created to promote an evening striptease show in a restaurant in Bohumín. Unlike typical printed posters of the era, this piece was produced as a one-off: the photograph of the performer is a cut-out collage element, and all lettering was applied by hand directly onto the background. The combination of printed graphics, analogue photography and expressive handwritten text gives the work the appearance of an authentic mid-century collage.
The poster is preserved in very good vintage condition with minor age-related wear. It comes in its period gilt frame with glass, which complements the character of the piece. Its unusual narrow format, handmade details and strong visual presence make it not only an interesting piece of historical ephemera but also a striking decorative object.
A rare surviving example of late-1960s Czechoslovak club and cabaret culture.
