Jef van Tuerenhout (1926–2006) was a Belgian painter, sculptor, ceramist, engraver and jewellery designer. During his career, his style evolved from bitter miserabilism and Flemish expressionism to neo-expressionism. Ultimately, this culminated in a slightly erotic, sensual style on the borderline between surrealism and magical realism. He is sometimes referred to as Belgium’s last surrealist. The piece is in very good condition and framed. See less
