The lintel is decorated in the center with a large, asymmetrical shell, flanked by reserves. The jambs feature an unusual design of acanthus leaves in the shape of a scroll, followed by a reserve ending in another acanthus leaf. The sides have a recessed frame. The mantel is shaped and includes a shelf.
