The rectangular tabletop is composed of joined planks and displays irregularities and signs of use consistent with its original domestic function. The apron is simple and undecorated, characteristic of the utilitarian approach of rural Auvergne furniture.

During a previous restoration, discreet extensions were added to the legs, allowing the table to reach a height suitable for contemporary seating and modern use.
