The edge of the tray is a ribbon formed by two different palmette shapes, repeated on the ampoule holders and cap holders. The ampoule holders are supported by three female caryatids, while the cap holders are supported by the mouth of a cast fish. The central stem is made of a very light moaniera with two shaped profiles containing cast floral elements. The two ampoules with handles feature three acid-etched greek frets interspersed with eight-pointed ground stars; the entire bottle features multiple small ground stars. One of the two caps has a chip on the rim.

the oil cruet features the world mark with seven trions for the second-finest silver (800/000); the plow mark indicates the state assay office of milan, and finally, it features the silversmith's mark, which, although worn, bears the letters s and g interspersed with the symbol of death, a skull and crossbones. This symbol, identified by g. Sambonet (milan 1987, p. 203), is the successor of gerolamo gatti, who died in 1828 and is unidentified. Ultimately, the cruet was made in milan between 1828 and 1872 in 800/000 silver by the silversmith who continued gerolamo gatti's work.
