Carlo di Carli was a prominent Italian architect, designer, and architectural theorist, considered one of the leading figures of Italian Modernism and postwar design.
His theoretical thinking is highly relevant, following the example of Gio Ponti, and focuses on the idea that architectural practice should be the same for both large buildings and small objects, summed up in the expression "from the spoon to the city."
