Up for sale is this whimsical depiction of African wildlife painted on hardboard by Bushiri Mrita Awazi. Signed by the artist, it measures 12" x 12". It is in very good, gently used condition with some edge wear, as pictured.
About the artist: Awazi began painting in 1974 in Dar es Salaam under the guidance of his older brother Hashimu Bushiri Mruta (deceased 1998); he belongs to the second generation of painters from the Tingatinga school.
