This MCM Tole Bouillotte candlestick lamp is a traditional French table lamp, characterized by its metal base and adjustable, opaque metal shade.
The base is crafted from metal. The shade is made from lacquered metal, referred to as tôle or tôle peinte, chosen for its heat resistance when it originally held burning candles. The "heavy paper covering" over the actual light sockets (made to look like candles) on this Tole Bouillotte lamp is a decorative tube made of paper board or papier-mâché for safety. The finial is also original to the lamp
Height: 19" from base to top of lampshade - add another 3" for the finial. Each candlestick is 12", Top of shade is 9.5" in diameter, the bottom of the shade is 14.5" in diameter.
The lamp is in working condition - all three sockets work. It has been rewired - please see the photo of the plug. The voltage is 120V which is standard for the United States.
I have listed the country of origin as the United States. However, I am not sure as this could have originated from France or Italy.
