This exceptional 8.5-inch centerpiece bowl is a quintessential example of the "Bizantino" (commonly known as "Tutti Frutti") series by AVEM (Arte Vetraria Muranese), dating to the 1950s.
Hand-blown in Murano, Italy, the piece features an intricate explosion of multicolored millefiori canes and zanfirico ribbons. Most notably, this specific bowl is infused with heavy Silver Leaf (Silver Aventurine), which creates a brilliant metallic shimmer throughout the glass—a feature more sought after by collectors than the standard gold flecks.
The bowl is shaped in a sophisticated tricorn (triangular) silhouette with a deep, cased-glass body. It represents the height of Mid-Century Modern Venetian glass artistry and serves as a vibrant, high-end focal point for any collection.
Evocative of the Dino Martens 'Oriente' series.

It is smooth to the touch and does not appear to compromise the structural integrity of the piece, but it is visible upon close inspection. The white casing is in excellent condition with no significant scuffs or discoloration. • Base: The base shows expected shelf wear consistent with age, including light surface scratches on the underside where the dish sits. There is a visible rough pontil mark, which is a hallmark of authentic, hand-blown Murano glass. less
