Serene framed Japanese artwork titled “Wild Geese and Autumn Moon,” after the celebrated ukiyo-e master Ando Hiroshige (1797–1858). This poetic composition depicts two wild geese in flight beneath an autumn moon, a design first published around 1835 and admired for its sense of movement, calm, and atmospheric beauty.
This example is a vintage reproduction print, professionally framed in a bamboo-style wood frame with a wide cream mat that enhances the vertical composition. The back of the frame retains the original descriptive label explaining the artwork, as well as the Michael’s Art Shop, New Haven, Connecticut framing label, adding vintage character and provenance to the presentation.
