You would have to paint your own over that. There are many ways you could do that including just painting over the whole front. It is like a thin wood that was painted on. The detail you might not be able to see is the carved interlocking wedding bands, and hearts around the bottom. There is a secret compartment with a special bag for storing the wedding dress. Mine preserved for 28 years til now! See less
