A cohesive triptych of original abstract acrylic paintings by Elise Friederike, created in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1989. Executed in acrylic on Masonite (hardboard), a period-appropriate substrate favored by modern painters for its durability and smooth surface.
The set features a strong central horizontal composition flanked by two vertical companion works, unified by a bold palette, gestural brushwork, and layered color fields characteristic of late-modern abstraction of the late 1980s. The three panels were conceived as a group and display beautifully together as a unified installation.
