The front facade features a central double-door compartment that opens to reveal a deep-green velvet interior, accented by a large, ornate butterfly-shaped backplate and latch. This butterfly motif, a traditional symbol of happiness and longevity, is echoed by smaller brass butterfly hinges that flank the doors in vertical rows.

The chest is reinforced with decorative brass corner guards and cloud-shaped braces, providing a bright contrast against the honey-toned wood. A single wide drawer at the base, fitted with a curved bail handle, offers additional storage.
