Fantastic cylindrical cachepot vase in glazed and vitrified ceramic, entirely hand-crafted on a lathe, decorated in bas-relief with various cherubs, bacchanalia, angels, and garlands of flowers. Signed under the base "fiam c.c. Made in italy," it was made by the fiam factory in civita castellana, an important italian manufacturer that participated in the roman secessionist movement. The vase dates back to around 1930, with a beautiful patina perfectly contemporary with our dating. The bright ultramarine blue background is particularly beautiful, contrasting with the lighter colors of the cherubs. The ceramic biscuit is quite thick, and the vase's slightly irregular circular shape is beautiful, demonstrating that it is entirely hand-crafted.
