The process creates the characteristic serrated edges and natural heat patina, with colour variations ranging from amber and bronze to deep blue. Each piece is inherently unique due to the manual cutting and heat treatment.

Holm Sørensen is recognised for his sculptural approach to lighting and is considered one of the key figures in Scandinavian brutalist lighting design of the mid-20th century. His flame-cut works are today widely collected and documented in international design history. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
