This refined Japanese wall decoration is made in deep black Wajima-nuri lacquer, finished with an elegant gold leaf design of a traditional kamon (family crest).
Dimensions: height 39.5 cm, width 45 cm, depth 5 cm.
The motif corresponds to Kikusui (菊水): a combination of a chrysanthemum and stylised flowing water lines. The graphic is bold and timeless, while the gold leaf takes on a warm, soft glow as it catches the light.
The piece is professionally framed in a wooden frame with a wide mat, giving it the presence of a small art object. A special detail is that the original protective cloth (furoshiki) and the accompanying leaflet have been preserved, making the set especially complete.
