design and style: the distinctive element is the large, antique pink blown murano glass shade. The ribbed or pleated glass design mimics the folds of fabric, creating fascinating plays of light and nuances when the lamp is turned on. The design of the structure is slender and geometric, with a decorative chromed metal "cage" detail under the shade, reminiscent of the space age/modernist style of the era.

material and finish: the shade is made of opalescent/satin murano artistic glass.
