Large “Daruma” table lamp designed by Sergi Asti in 1969 for Fontana Arte, made from a spherical hand-blown opal glass vase topped with a small opal glass cap. The Daruma table lamp is on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The lamp is characterized by a spherical and rigorous shape reminiscent of traditional Japanese Daruma dolls, from which it takes its name.
