Walnut with diamond-matched panels; the original finish is in overall good condition on these American-made vintage pieces, each bearing a metal brand tag reading "W. D. Allison Co. of Indianapolis, Ind." with individual serial numbers, with black feet on all pieces.

Tall Cabinet:
Inside are original glass shelves with no chips. Black bakelite pulls are original, and there are pull-out shelves and drawers. An interior light turns on automatically when the right door is opened, and the original lightbulb still works. There is a lock, and the key is provided. There is some damage to the top; see photos.

Short Cabinet:
The cabinet top is removable, black/onyx glass. The top gallery flips open to a compartment for medicine bottles. Drawers have original black bakelite pulls.

Tall Wastebasket with metal push pedal (a la VIPP) includes a removable metal-cylinder inner bucket and is in slightly more used condition than the other pieces.

Short Wastebasket is an open square that can be used as a planter, with some bubbling on the interior base veneer.

These belonged to my grandfather, born in 1917, a surgeon and former President of the American Cancer Society of Ohio, and have remained in our family homes since the original purchase in the 1930s. Location for pick up is Gastonia, NC 28056.

Tall cabinet 27" wide, 14.5" deep, and 60" tall.
Short cabinet 27.5" wide, 17" deep and 38" tall. See less
