A magnificent antique Louis Vuitton steamer trunk, dating to the early 20th century (Circa 1900). This exceptional travel piece features the iconic LV Monogram canvas, bound in wood with original brass hardware.
The exterior displays a beautiful, even patina consistent with age. The brass fittings have been kept clean without over-polishing, preserving their historical character. The original lock is intact (serial number stamped inside lid).
Key Condition Details:
Hardware: All rollers are in full working order and run freely. Handle springs and hasps are intact and functional.
Interior: Remarkably clean and free from odors. The interior tray table is present (note: missing one leather strap). There is some expected discoloration on the interior bottom from the trunk's structural materials.
Authenticity: The "Louis Vuitton" name is visible on the tacks, which have not been over-polished.
