The sofa features a beautifully carved solid wood frame with flowing serpentine lines, scrolled arms, and finely detailed cresting, all resting on gracefully shaped legs typical of Victorian formal seating. The piece has been custom upholstered in a soft, pale celadon with subtle dotted texture, complemented by coordinating patterned seat cushions and decorative bolster pillows with tassel accents.
Designed originally for formal parlors and sitting rooms, this sofa offers both visual presence and comfortable seating, making it an ideal statement piece for a living room, entry hall, bedroom, or designer-styled space. The combination of antique woodwork and custom upholstery makes this a one-of-a-kind piece not replicable with modern production furniture. The condition is very good except for a small chip out of the back leg and there looks to be a watermark stain across the back rest of the sofa which could be easily covered with accent pillows. The rest of the upholstery is in good condition.
