A striking signed Santini Italian bonded marble sculpture representing David, after the masterpiece by Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1623–24), housed in the Galleria Borghese in Rome. Captured in the dramatic, twisting movement that defined Bernini’s Baroque genius, David is shown mid-action as he prepares to slay Goliath — a powerful study of tension, anatomy, and heroic determination.
Crafted in Italy in bonded marble (reconstituted marble stone), this piece offers excellent sculptural detail, weight, and presence, with beautiful surface tone and classical finish.
