Constructed from a large, organically shaped ceramic plate, the piece is pierced by multiple lengths of purple-stained rattan that rise through the surface to create a dramatic stand and openwork structure.

The rattan elements converge at the top to form a handle, secured with a wrapped wicker binding and a bamboo crosspiece, blending ceramic tradition with basketry techniques. The glazed surface of the plate features soft tonal variation and textural depth, reinforcing the handmade, sculptural quality of the work.
