Bring authentic Americana charm into your home with this exceptional early 20th-century Amish "Kavli" storage basket. Meticulously handcrafted using traditional mid-century Old-Order weaving techniques, this piece features a distinct bulbous oval body, an integrated lidded top, and a double-braided wrap handle. The natural reed has aged beautifully over the decades, developing a rich, dark chestnut-brown patina that adds warmth and historical depth to any room.
Highly versatile and structurally robust, this primitive folk-art piece serves as a striking standalone sculptural accent or functional storage for textiles, craft supplies, or small household items. A true collector's item for enthusiasts of fine rustic Americana craftsmanship.

There is light cosmetic surface wear throughout the weave, consistent with age. Minor fraying, small breaks, and slight split damage are present on parts of the wrapped handle from historic use. The basket remains structurally sound, functional, and retains its beautiful original dark patina. One handle is missing however. (Note: Please review all photographs carefully to assess minor cosmetic details). less
