This is a coffee table, but there … Read more When making a statement is as important, or perhaps more important than practicality. This is a coffee table, but there are no flat surfaces on it. The top is curved in both directions. All the stainless steel (apart from the small tubes) is curved. Surfaces are all fluid and full of intent. The mica-tinted epoxy stripes are parametric in that their width changes in response to the variable width of the table. The result is maybe more dynamic sculpture than static coffee table.

CNC machined, thermoformed Corian solid-surface, mica-tinted epoxy filled, sanded and polished.

Stack-laminated, CNC machined hardwood plywood, finished with automotive urethane base coat / clear coat.

Polished, formed and welded stainless steel legs/support structure.

Painted, 3D printed PLA with polished stainless steel tubes. See less
