Elegant vintage table lamp featuring a tall, fluted opaline (milk) glass column set on a stepped square base with richly detailed gilt brass mounts. The classical columnar form is accented by decorative acanthus and foliate motifs at the base and capital, giving the lamp a refined neoclassical feel that works beautifully in traditional and transitional interiors.
The softly glowing opaline glass provides a timeless contrast to the warm brass, making this lamp equally striking on a console, buffet, or bedside table. A substantial and well-balanced piece with strong visual presence.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition overall. Minor surface wear, rubbing, and patina to the brass consistent with age and use. Opaline glass presents well with no visible cracks or chips observed. Wiring appears older and functions at time of listing; however, rewiring is recommended to meet modern safety standards. One socket shows visible age/wear (see photos).
