This is a really nice vintage tall mahogany tiered lamp table or plant stand by high-end American furniture maker Kling Colonial, which was acquired by Ethan Allen in the 1960s.
The table is made of solid mahogany with 3 tiers supported by turned stiles topped with brass ball finials.
The late 20th century plant stand is in very good vintage condition. The structure is very sturdy. All the joints are strong with no wiggle. The finish is in overall good shape with some wear on the shelves. Please see photos for more details about condition.
The table measures 42” tall and 11” diameter. The height between the tiers is about 17 inches.
More information about Kling:
Kling Factories was operated as a family business between 1911 and 1962 in Chautauqua County, NY. In 1962, the family sold the firm to what is now known as Ethan Allen Inc. “Kling Colonial” and Kling branded furniture was produced by Ethan Allen from 1962 into the 1990s. The original Mayville, NY, factory was operated by Ethan Allen until it closed in 2003.
