This is a handwoven Torrey pine needle basket created by artists Fran Kraynek-Prince and Neil Prince.

The baskets are crafted using fallen needles from the rare Torrey Pine, found along the Southern California coast.
A distinctive feature of their work is leaving the cut ends of the pine needles exposed, creating a textured, rhythmic pattern, as seen in the image.
