This mid-century modern walnut dining table is a refined example of postwar American design, combining sculptural elegance with exceptional adaptability. Designed to function as a narrow console when closed, the table expands through a thoughtfully engineered extension system to accommodate a range of dining needs. In its most compact form, it measures just 23 inches long, opening incrementally to 61 inches without leaves and extending fully to an impressive 91 inches with both 15-inch leaves installed.
The table features sculpted drop-leaf ends, tapered legs, and a subtly arched apron that lend architectural lightness and visual balance. Warm walnut grain enhances the clean lines, while underside views reveal traditional wooden slide construction, original hardware, and period pencil notations consistent with authentic mid-century manufacture. At 43 inches wide, the table offers generous dining depth while maintaining elegant proportions—ideal for flexible living and dining spaces.
The last 2 pictures show the table up without leaves at 63".
It comes with a custom table cover by Ace Table Pad company to fit all of its configurations.
Special Features:
Solid and veneered walnut construction; sculpted drop-leaf ends; tapered architectural legs; removable leaves; wooden slide extension system; gently arched apron; hand-fitted joinery; period hardware; original underside pencil markings indicative of mid-century production methods.
For shipping, the table can be reduced to console size with sides folded down. The two leaves and the table pad can be bundled with it for a relatively small package.

Light surface wear consistent with age, including minor finish variations and faint handling marks. Underside shows expected patina, original pencil notations, and wear consistent with period workshop practices. Extension mechanism functions properly; leaves align and seat evenly. Structurally sound. Upon close inspection, one of the arms that swings out to support the end of the table is missing. There should be four and there are three. It does not effect the stability of the table, but will lower the price to take it into account. less
