Framed modernist expressionist painting by George Rhoads. This painting depicts a bustling city with buildings, airplanes and figures throughout. This piece is framed in a brass coated frame and features heavy brush strokes with depth and texture in the colors of purple, green, blue, gold and brown. The back of this painting had a tag from a gallery, and it appears to have the partial name of this painting’s title. It appears to say something along the lines of “After Autumn rain in 1963” George Rhoads.

The gold frame has worn finish, scratches, scuffs, and possible missing pieces in the corners. The painting itself has a few puncture holes near the top, some cracks in the paint throughout, a few drip marks, and scratches. There appears to be a fold mark in the very center from top to bottom in thepainting, probably from years of storage. Please see photos for full condition details. less
