Antique Japanese okimono figurine from the Meiji period (1868–1912), depicting a peasant woman in traditional dress carrying a woven basket on her back and with finely carved head, hands and feet. The body of the figure is cast in bronze, with finely modeled drapery, naturalistic posture, and a calm, introspective expression characteristic of high-quality Meiji-era work.

The figure is mounted on a carved wooden base with stylized foliage and landscape motifs.

Approx. 12 1/2” high. In very good condition, no cracks or damage.
