A beautiful and rare original aquatint by Debucourt, the undisputed master of color printing in revolutionary France. La Promenade Publique depicts a lively and crowded scene of Parisian social life: ladies, gentlemen, elegance, social satire, and a narrative rhythm typical of the painter-engraver.

The work shows all the characteristics of early prints: clearly visible plate mark, antique non-industrial paper, period hand coloring, and editorial indications consistent with the revolutionary period. The 19th-century frame preserves the print without alterations.
