A stunning wall vase, planter, in majolica ceramic, hand-shaped on a lathe, then hand-decorated and glazed, signed on the back by the artist Vincenzo Solimene and labeled "IItaly" (place of production), dating to the first half of the 20th century. Note the quality of the majolica, with its extremely compact and hard-to-the-touch glaze, and the unique shape of the vase. This wall vase, modeled in the shape of a Roman amphora, is perfectly cut in half and entirely hand-crafted on a lathe. The patina is beautiful and very evident, especially on the back.
