It is a three-light pendant with a … Read more This chandelier is model 2042/3, designed by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce in 1963. It is a three-light pendant with a minimalist and refined structure. Three black cables of varying lengths extend from the circular satin-finish brass ceiling rose. Each cable supports a matte black painted aluminum cylinder perforated with small holes. At the lower end of the cylinder is a transparent glass sphere with internal bubbles (pulegoso). The three spheres are positioned at different heights, creating an effect of lightness and movement. The light, filtered through the holes and diffused by the pulegoso glass, produces a warm, dotted glow. The contrast between the stark black of the cylinders and the warmth of the brass is typical of Sarfatti's style. It is an iconic piece of 1960s Italian design, highly sought-after today by collectors. A perfect example of how Sarfatti succeeded in combining technical rigor and luminous poetry. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
