The piece is constructed from solid chestnut wood and dates to approximately 1800–1850.

The cabinet features two doors with wire mesh panels in the upper sections and solid wood panels below. The doors are fitted with metal hardware and are lockable. The interior contains three shelves, suitable for storage or display purposes.

The cupboard has been preventively treated against woodworm.
Signs of age and use are consistent with the period, including old woodworm holes and surface wear.
