Hammerborg, originally trained as a silversmith, characterized his designs by their simplicity, high sensitivity to materials, and meticulous attention to detail – typical hallmarks of Danish craftsmanship. The Juno lamp, shown here in a vibrant orange-red, belongs to the famous Regnbue (Rainbow Line), introduced by Fog & Mørup in 1969. Its construction consists of several cylindrically layered louvers that ensure glare-free, precise light distribution. Although a diffuser was originally attached to the bottom, the design functions perfectly well without it, exuding a distinctive minimalism. This piece is an authentic, richly colored, high-quality product from the 1960s and a true collector's item of Danish design history.
