An elegant pair of wall sconces made entirely of brass, crafted with the meticulous artistry typical of the early 20th century. Each sconce features a sinuous, double-curved arm, characteristic of the organic lines of Art Nouveau, leading to a beaded or "pearl" ornamentation in relief that follows the upward movement of the piece.
The wall plate, with its geometric design and lobed profile, combines rectilinear lines and stylized plant motifs, already foreshadowing the transition to early Art Deco.
The upper finial incorporates an original perforated bracket for wall mounting. The shade consists of a fluted brass conical body from which hangs a series of blown glass rods (cane prisms or "icicles"), creating a warm, vertical light effect when illuminated, very characteristic of early 20th-century light fixtures intended for elegant interiors, hotels, bourgeois residences, and galleries.
All the elements that make up the wall sconces—brass, rods, rings, and structure—are original period materials and workmanship, with no modern reproductions.
The only new part is the wiring.
They retain their antique patina, perfectly in keeping with their age.
