For sale is an original antique/very rustic Almerschrank dating from around 1840. This beautiful, original Almerschrank dates from the late 18th century and is a true gem of Alpine craftsmanship. Made of solid spruce wood, the cabinet impresses with its robust, raw construction and authentic, rustic charm. Typical of the Alpine style, the cabinet is characterized by its clean lines and simple form – a beveled front, which is enhanced by artistic hand carvings and delicate decorative moldings. The wood surface is in an original, very clean, yet rustic condition. Numerous inactive wormholes are visible – see photos. Inside the cabinet, spacious shelves offer ample storage space for textiles and other treasures. The original keys and fittings are well-preserved and attest to the high craftsmanship of this piece of furniture. This bread cupboard has one door on the right, supported by visible hinges, and six practical drawers on the left, operated by wooden knobs. The wooden latch is original and looks fantastic – and is, of course, fully functional. The interior of this Almer cupboard smells of wood. The piece has been restored with great care and expertise, with a strong emphasis on preserving the cupboard's original character and bringing it to excellent, usable condition.
