California outsider artist Christopher (Cyrstofer) Shoemaker (American, b. 1969) This painting is a mixed media on canvas by use of acrylic paint and applied fake $100 and $20 bills. I’m not sure why the artist didn’t title this painting something like “Money Bags” or something with money, but he titled it, “Reptilian Reset”. Either way, it’s clearly a unique painting by this highly collected self-taught artist. This painting is on a stretched canvas measuring 30” high X 24” wide. Dated 2025 and signed.
Shoemaker began painting on found materials back in 2000. He has had several one man exhibitions at Colin Fisher Studios in Cathedral City, California among many other galleries. If this work of art interests you, then don’t plan on using any of the money off the canvas, but you can be rest assured that it would be a great addition to your home or office.
