Fletcher studied at Baylor Female College in Belton, Tx and the Cooper Union and Art Student League in New York, NY. She exhibited in the Edgar B. Davis Wildflower Competition in 1927 in San Antonio, Texas.

Painting has multiple areas of paint loss, mainly to the upper left. Still a very beautiful early Texas painting.
