Original limited-edition bronze sculpture titled Chinese Legend by Erté (Romain de Tirtoff). It is featured in 'Erte: The Last Works', page 152. This example is hand-signed by the artist and numbered 212 of 500, produced by Seven Arts Ltd., London in mint condition.
The sculpture exemplifies Erté’s iconic Art Deco style, featuring an elongated female figure rendered with refined line, stylized movement, and rich surface detailing. The composition balances elegance and symbolism, with strong graphic presence and sculptural depth characteristic of Erté’s late-career bronze works.
A highly collectible, named Erté sculpture, Chinese Legend is well suited for Art Deco, fashion-influenced, and 20th-century decorative arts collections.
